“An oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines contradictory words with opposing meanings, like “old news,” “deafening silence,” or “organized chaos.” Oxymorons may seem illogical at first, but in context they usually make sense.” (grammerly.com)

In a power outage, the first step is admitting you are powerless.

We currently don’t have any power, so I am doing things a little different today.

Typically I wait until about 4pm, my time, to get on the computer/laptop and do things, but the power company says the power may not be restored until 3…so I need to change things up a bit.

I have laundry in the machine – wet, and the lid is locked so I can’t even hang the clothes on the line to drip dry. At least it was on the rinse cycle… and not full of soap.

So of course, the power will come back while I’m supposed to be doing something else. Isn’t that the way things go? But… changing things up for today, allows me to take care of the laundry when I can.

If it’s not one thing, it’s another…

hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!

  1. Imagine if it went off . . . and . . . and . . . never came back on again. It may happen at some point in the future. 😢

    • I’m trying to prepare for that, although I don’t know if we can ever be totally prepared. Unless you’re Amish or live in an Amish community. We’re still too reliant on electricity, I realized that yesterday… and we were only out for about an hour. Wi-Fi was out too, but I didn’t mention that earlier bc I didn’t know until I got a notice from the company.

      • It take a long time to build a transformer and it wouldn’t be difficult to knock em out 🤬
