… I slept in this morning, which is why I’m posting late. I also wanted to let you know that it’s getting to be the time of year when I go to bed late, which means I wake up later. Since we’re starting to use the wood stove with the colder weather, I will stay up to make sure the stove is stocked before going to bed – so it doesn’t get cold throughout the night or in the morning it’s still warm. We’re not quite there yet, but getting there. So throughout the rest of fall/autumn and winter I will be posting a little bit later than I do the rest of the year. Not every day yet, but there will be times. I’ve tried scheduling my posts before, but that doesn’t always work.

Will Israel Soon Fulfill Prophecy And Turn Damascus Into A Pile Of Rubble?: prophecy news watch… “Chapter 17 in the Book of Isaiah paints a sobering picture. In it, the city of Damascus is a pile of rubble. The Bible says it will disappear from the face of the earth and become a heap of ruins (Isaiah 17:1). At the same time, large parts of northern Israel will also lie in ruin (Isaiah 17:3). Now, before you say this prophecy was fulfilled during Old Testament times, keep this in mind… This passage says Damascus will cease to be a city (Isaiah 17:1). It will be utterly and completely destroyed. Yet, Damascus is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on record. Its history goes back more than 5,000 years. At 2,600 years old, the Book of Isaiah itself is new compared to Damascus! This prophecy is yet to be fulfilled. How interesting is it that Israel has threatened to do exactly what the Bible predicts – destroy Damascus.”

What I know about (amygdalin / laetrile) aprocot pits (and apple seeds) is that the fda hasn’t released any real research into health benefits because of concerns about cyanide. hahaha (sigh)
***more like the truth has been shelved***
I don’t like the fda and only trust it as far as I can throw it. It’s a branch of the government, you know.
***I’m no doctor, so do your own research***
Yeah…most of the cyanide is concentrated in the core, at least in apples. And it’s a more “natural” cyanide, if that really matters or makes any difference. A person would have to eat so many apples that they’d be having bathroom issues before any issues of cyanide poisoning set in…yes, always do your own research. I don’t trust the FDA either.
I love apples and have always eaten the whole fruit… well… not the stem, mind you. Growing up, I was told never to eat the seeds (wanna guess why? hahaha).
Chewing the seeds is best to release the chemicals inside. But not if you’re afraid of (uhhh) over overdosing on cyanide.
I’ve never eaten the core, not on purpose anyway. I don’t like the skin either, but that’s me and I’m weird. But when you think about it, when apple juice or cider is made the whole fruit is used. So if it – the cyanide – was really of concern, they’d do it differently.
