Some facts:
Catfish John
“Mama said, ‘Don’t go near that river,
Don’t be hanging around old ‘Catfish John.’
Come in the morning I’d always be there,
Walking in his footsteps in the sweet Delta dawn.”
Ok, that’s enough facts for today. Later, I’ll do my READING post. I’m actually thinking about tweaking it – more than about reading, but also mythology, folklore…more about knowledge than about reading! So, we shall see. This weeks will be about Old King Cole. I’ve just got to figure out what to call the series…READING won’t work. Any ideas?
I guess that’s all I have for now!
Hope everyone has a great August day, night or evening where ever you are!

My day in Pictures…mostly!
On the way to get my boyfriends truck…I wanted to get a picture of the fog on the mountains, but it didn’t happen!
This is the town where The Blair Witch comes from… it’s just a legend though.
This is an oops photo and I wasn’t going to include this photo, but there’s two shadows coming from my leg. Can’t figure it out!
I did a little bit of gardening…not much, it was so hot! When I do my gardening during the summer months, I usually try to get out as early as I can – like daybreak when it’s so hot and I can get more done.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Not the best photo I know! So, in case you can’t read it…
“God grant that I may live to fish
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray,
When in the Lord’s safe landing net
I’m peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be judged
As big enough to keep.” – author unknown

I’ve got three this week! I can’t decide which one I like the best…
The hummingbird photo and the squirrel photo were taken with the zoom lens.
Which one do you like the best?

I have one more set of “Reflections” for the month. Which turns out to be pretty much ok! I thought this was it, but I have a few more. I’ve included a couple other reflections in the set, which is why it is not called “Raindrop Reflections“.
It’s been a rough week, and I am so glad this week is over. Hopefully next week will be better.
I woke up this morning and the fridge sounded like it was about ready to take off! Someone had left the freezer door open. I have no idea how long it was open, but it seems to be ok now. On the good side…I’ll be cooking some bacon later. That was the only thing in the freezer that thawed. Well, the bread thawed but that’s ok! And the chicken nuggets had partially thawed, so I separated it and put it in its respective places.
One good thing that happened is, my boyfriend did get his truck! It’s actually a Suburban and it’s still at his buddy’s house. We plan on getting it today!
Something else good? Well, my back doesn’t hurt for the most part. Sometimes I get a twinge, but it lasts a couple of seconds and then I can go about my business! A few years ago, I’m not sure when or how exactly, I hurt my back. I can do all my normal stuff… stack wood, carry groceries, move furniture…and not have a problem, but I turn in such a way and there goes my back! That’s the way it goes, I guess. Once you’ve done something to your back you will always have problems with it. I guess it’s the same with just about any body part.
Well, that’s the good and the bad for the week. If I can get through the next few hours, I will consider it over and able to move on!
Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day, World Honey Bee Day, National I Love My Feet Day. What a good day!
Sorry I missed yesterday!
Hope everyone has a great day, evening, or night where ever you may be!
