I have one more set of “Reflections” for the month. Which turns out to be pretty much ok! I thought this was it, but I have a few more. I’ve included a couple other reflections in the set, which is why it is not called “Raindrop Reflections“.
It’s been a rough week, and I am so glad this week is over. Hopefully next week will be better.
I woke up this morning and the fridge sounded like it was about ready to take off! Someone had left the freezer door open. I have no idea how long it was open, but it seems to be ok now. On the good side…I’ll be cooking some bacon later. That was the only thing in the freezer that thawed. Well, the bread thawed but that’s ok! And the chicken nuggets had partially thawed, so I separated it and put it in its respective places.
One good thing that happened is, my boyfriend did get his truck! It’s actually a Suburban and it’s still at his buddy’s house. We plan on getting it today!
Something else good? Well, my back doesn’t hurt for the most part. Sometimes I get a twinge, but it lasts a couple of seconds and then I can go about my business! A few years ago, I’m not sure when or how exactly, I hurt my back. I can do all my normal stuff… stack wood, carry groceries, move furniture…and not have a problem, but I turn in such a way and there goes my back! That’s the way it goes, I guess. Once you’ve done something to your back you will always have problems with it. I guess it’s the same with just about any body part.
Well, that’s the good and the bad for the week. If I can get through the next few hours, I will consider it over and able to move on!
Today is Black Cat Appreciation Day, World Honey Bee Day, National I Love My Feet Day. What a good day!
Sorry I missed yesterday!
Hope everyone has a great day, evening, or night where ever you may be!

Just an inverted photo of the tree frog above. I kinda like it…looks alien or creepy, or both. What do you think?
So…another update! We got the toilet fixed!!! Something to be happy about, right? We took the tank off and cleaned it up then went to Lowe’s to get the replacement parts we needed. The nuts and bolts had rusted hence the leak, plus the gaskets had rotted. Both the gaskets for the bolts and the gasket where the tank connects to the bowl. At Lowe’s you can get one kit to replace the bolts, nuts and gaskets for $5! You don’t have to buy everything separate. It comes with 2 bolts, two nuts, 4 washers, 4 gaskets to go with the bolts and 1 (large) gasket/ring to go between the tank and bowl.
While we were cleaning up the tank, we noticed a small, hairline crack…it doesn’t go all the way through, so we should be ok…as long as it doesn’t break or completely crack!
That’s my update for today!! Hope you enjoyed and maybe learned something new!
Have a great day, night or evening where ever your life has taken you!

Taken while fishing on the Potomac River, early in the morning.
Here’s something interesting (at least I find it interesting): We are on the Maryland side of the river, the other side is Virginia. Behind us, and down the road maybe a mile is West Virginia.

So, I don’t have any point and shoot photos for today! This is just a mumbo jumbo of photos I took last month. (If you recall this series is about the July Photos I took last month.)
I hope you enjoy!
I have no idea what that little bug is…but she (or he) is pretty. And camera shy. I only got one photo, as soon as I snapped this picture, she (or he) moved to the other side. I followed, she moved. I tried a couple of times to get another photo, but she kept moving. So I walked away. At least I got one, and it’s a good one (IMHO)!
If I find it interesting, I will photograph it! I have been that way since I was a little girl.

“My mother early on taught us to respect all animals, and I mean all animals – not just cats and dogs but rats and snakes and spiders and fish and wildlife, so I really grew up believing they are just like us and just as deserving of consideration.” – Joanna Lumley
And, of course, I had to include a spider! They are everywhere right now! Been sitting here for a little while, watching two build a web. The one in this photo (above) is out in the field somewhere.
On a side note…my main toilet is leaking! I’m pretty sure the nuts and bolts (hahaha) that hold the tank on the bowl have rusted and need to be replaced! I’ve turned the water off to that toilet and drained the tank so there’s not as much water and heading to Lowe’s in a little bit. I’m hoping that we can find what we need. At some point, all the toilets need to be replaced, but for now, if we can find the nuts and bolts, this will do.
When it rains, it pours! Seems like that here recently! One thing after another! Could almost make you cry!! But I’m stronger than that!
I was going to tell you about my WIFI experience on Tuesday, but that will have to wait til tomorrow…or another day. The only thing I’ll say right now, is…the cable had been disconnected! Not at the house, but up on the pole, where there’s a box connected to other wires. It’s almost funny!!
Hope everyone has a great day, evening or night…wherever you may be!

Not sure if you have seen these photos before…some you probably have.
I don’t know why, but this frog loves lounging on the hummingbird feeder. Maybe it’s the bugs, maybe because it’s cool and moist.
At one point, I had two hanging out on top of the feeder, you probably remember that.
Just the other day, I got some photos of a tree frog (maybe, probably, the same one) hanging out on my Spider Plant. I’ll be sure to share them when the time is right – next month!
So, about yesterday! It was a long day yesterday! I worked on some photos, and eventually took some photos of the hummingbird (s) flying around. The tech came early, left, then another one came and finished the job! It was weird that the first guy left, but I figured he had to go get something from the office or something. Oh well, the important thing is we have WIFI and I am back to normal…my normal anyway!
It’s like the tech said, you don’t realize you need it til it’s gone. And it is so true, trying to go back to my phone to do everything was nearly impossible! But, I’m not dwelling on it! On to bigger, better things!!
I’ve realized that I have way to many photos! I’m thinking of making a page for the leftover’s and calling it “Holly’s leftover’s“. We’ll see…it’s in the thought process right now, I’ve still got about 15 days or so to figure it out! It won’t just be July’s leftover’s, it will be any leftover’s I have each month. I’ll figure it out! (I’m really good at flying by the seat of my pants!)
That’s about all I have, for now anyway!
Today is National Creamsicle Day! YUM!!
Hope everyone has a great day!

I’m pretty sure this is a Nursery Web Spider, but I can’t be sure. It’s not a Wolf Spider, but I can’t rule out the Fishing Spider. There are tent caterpillars in the photo as well.
And boy does it feel good!!
It’s been a long day with out any internet! I had my phone, but it’s just not the same. I guess I’ll be posting about it tomorrow, right now I just want to get back to normal!
So, here’s my 100 Word Sentence! I hope you enjoy!!
The Cicada Army
One bright and sunny day during a summer not so long ago, five young male cicadas climbed slowly up the old elm tree, knowing that when they reached a certain branch they would shed their armor that had become way too small and then they would fly off into the lonely night to fight the unknown yet common enemy as had been pre-determined since their birth, leaving the armor behind to rot with everything else and then when they had won the fight, they would party with their lady cicadas all night long having fought the ruthless enemy and won.
So, tomorrow will be back to normal…barring nothing else happens!
