I just can’t do it

I haven’t put up one Christmas decoration or ornament this year.
I always had questions about Christmas, among other things. Including Easter.

How can I celebrate a holiday, celebrating Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) birth, when nowhere in the Bible it is mentioned? Yes, there are signs or clues…but chances are, he was born in the spring or possibly the fall. I believe there is a reason his birth isn’t factually mentioned. The date would have become more important than the man himself, dying on the cross.

So, why was his birthdate moved or put on December 25?

and over time reassigned meanings to the traditions.

So, for me, I can’t celebrate Christmas traditionally. We will be eating some good food and exchanging a few gifts. My housemate and son understand what is going on…I think. We have been misled. As a whole, as a society.

I thank God every day for His son.

What Does the Bible say About Christmas: Bible Study Ministry…this is a really good article to read, if you’re interested. For me, and the article does talk about this, Christmas, as well as other “religious” (Easter?) holidays are “a pagan practice, attempting to assemble itself into Christianity in the name of bringing people to Christ.  I certainly can applaud the effort and the thought process behind this method and psychology.” According to the Bible, celebrating such holidays/feastivals/festivals are offensive to God, our heavenly Father. How can I participate, traditionally, knowing He doesn’t approve?

Anyway, this is my decision. I will not belittle or chastise you for choosing to celebrate. Your personal decisions are on you, and between you and God. I am not the one to judge. I am only doing what is right for me.
