my thoughts for today

taken with my cell phone today

I’ve only got one image today, and I decided to play a little with the layout of it. What do you think?

We did see a wild turkey today, but it was too far away to get a photo with my cell phone.

It’s been a gray, yucky day – again! It’s supposed to rain, but so far nothing. We’ve also got the wood stove going again. Just to keep the chill off. It’s the beginning of May and we’ve got a fire going. Just doesn’t seem right!

On a positive note, I am able to fill the pool with water – got the water running now. So, when it does get warm, I will be able to get in it. Or we will. Actually, the next time the sun comes out, I need to get in it and use the net to get leaves and bugs out. It’s not even knee deep yet, so it won’t be that bad. I can only run the water for about an hour at a time, so as not to put too much strain on the well. Then, after that we need to let the well rest as much as possible for two hours (one hour on/two hours off, double the rest time of run time, if that makes sense). That means, no showers/baths or laundry for two hours after I turn the water off for the pool. That’s the way it goes when living on a well. As it is, I think I need to replace the hot water tank/heater sometime in the next year or two. It is getting old.

That’s how many of you like my blog! And I am very grateful for every single one of you! I wouldn’t be here today without you! Thank you!!

I am actually kind of reluctant to mention this, as Holly’s World is growing so fast. By the time you read this, I will have gained a few more people, that’s why I’m reluctant. On New Year’s Day (2020) I only had 303 of you following me, reading my posts. That means there are 558 more people since the beginning of the year that enjoy coming here! I’d break it down as to who’s who, but it doesn’t really matter. All that really matters is that I am here, and so are you. And I am very happy, very grateful that you are.

I don’t plan on going anywhere, although some days it seems like doom and gloom. Not every day is promised to be a good day, and I realize that. The thing that matters is that we are still here, hopefully with a smile and a little bit of sunshine to share!

Thank You!
Everyone!
So much!

  1. Nice thoughts … and the Sun does shine everyday but the storm clouds do block its view some days!
